Ice Hockey WA has four affiliated clubs that compete across the competitions that are run and managed by IHWA. These clubs are Bravehearts Ice Hockey Club (Bravehearts), West Coast Ice Hockey Club (West Coast), Perth Hawks Ice Hockey Club (Hawks) and the Northern Ice Hockey Association (NIHA).

To become a player

It is recommended that any potential players first participate in a Learn2Skate program either through one of the venues (see our community page) or contact one of the clubs listed below. 

Bravehearts Ice Hockey Club

BraveHearts Ice Hockey Club is the newest club playing in the IHWA competition in Perth, Australia. The club was founded in 2018 and in 2021 fielded a number of senior teams.

Perth Hawks Ice Hockey Club

The Hawks have now been competing in the Ice Hockey West Australian (IHWA) League since 1997. The Hawks have brought home championships in all age divisions from Peewees to Premier League.

Northern Ice Hockey Association

NIHA has over 120 members and growing. They are an affiliate to Ice Hockey WA and Ice Hockey Australia and are a Not for Profit organisation and rely heavily on corporate sponsorship to develop club facilities and equipment.

West Coast Ice Hockey Club

West Coast Ice Hockey Club is celebrating 15 years of participation in the Ice Hockey WA competition and league. Based out of Malaga’s Perth Ice Arena the club boasts the home ground of the Perth Thunder AIHL team and years of experience in coaches who have represented the state and Australia in the sport of Ice Hockey.
